Donate Items – Urban GEMS has been engaging urban youth in gardening and art activities to enrich their lives while provide positive alternatives in their community. Your donation ensures that we can keep offering positive activities without cost to the students or their families. It is an investment in the future of each young person we serve. There are many ways to provide material support to this mission. Basic art and gardening supplies such as seeds, tools, paints, mason jars, markers, drawing paper, and so on will be put to use by Urban GEMS.
Volunteer: OSU students who would like to make a difference with urban youth are strongly encouraged to apply to be an Urban GEMS volunteer. All volunteers must complete appropriate background screenings, training requirements, and policy compliance checks.
We are actively seeking volunteers to be allies to the 120 middle and high school students who will participate in Urban GEMS annual. Please contact Dr. Robert Bennett III. (Urban GEMS Youth Work OSU volunteer coordinator) email: bennett.460@osu.edu. Southside community members who wish to volunteer at RHH4L should contact Fainisha Hampton at finashahowe@gmail.com or Tiffany Groce at groce.32@osu.edu or (614) 940-5435.
Employment Opportunities: The Urban GEMS team is made up of individuals who are dedicated to the lives of urban youth. Join our team by applying for one of the open positions.
